The Kenmore Alliance Church, located in Tonawanda, NY and founded in 1915 in Buffalo, is affiliated with the Christian and Missionary Alliance (CMA). The church spans over 7 acres and attracts a diverse congregation of more than 500 attendees, with a staff of about 15 employees. Its primary mission is to glorify God by creating disciples of Jesus Christ who, in turn, make more disciples. Lead Pastor
Full-Time
Kenmore Alliance Church, located in the suburbs of Buffalo, NY, is seeking a Lead Pastor who is gospel-centered and excited about our mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ who make disciples. He will focus on preaching, spiritual leadership, and staff development.

With a multi-staff team and average Sunday attendance of 500, we are looking for a dynamic leader and excellent communicator who will encourage and lead the church’s vision and mission, build relationships and guide us into the next season.  
The ideal candidate will have
  • Preaching and pastoral experience in a medium to large size church
  • C&MA licensure, or able to meet licensing and ordination requirements of the C&MA
  • Excellent team building and leadership qualities
  • Ability to oversee and cast vision for budget management

Worship Leader (Part-Time)
Responsibilities:
Sunday
  • Plan and help to administer the overall flow of the corporate worship services at KAC in conjunction with the preaching pastor and AV Coordinator.
  • Choose Biblically based and congregational-appropriate songs for each service that lead people into worship and prepare hearts to hear God’s Word.
  • Run weekly rehearsals in conjunction with the Technical Manager to prepare the team for Sunday worship services.
Administrative
  • Manage and maintain regular communication with the band members, vocalists, and AV Teams.
  • Maintain the monthly worship band member team schedule and make sure proper and sufficient personnel is available for each service. Scheduling (Band members)
  • Maintain current catalog of music in the Planning Center database and provide chord sheets, piano sheet music, and recordings for every song.
  • Offer training opportunities for instrumentalists and vocalists to improve overall musicianship through conferences, resources, individual evaluations, etc.
  • Train new worship leaders and encourage all team members in their individual giftings.
  • Attend weekly ministry and/or monthly staff meetings.
  • Oversee the Worship Committee to guide the musical and ministerial direction of the ministry and to interview and/or audition prospective team members.
  • Provide pastoral care for the worship team.
  • Oversee the worship ministry budget and spending. Support admin. Budget with Worship cost.
  • Plan team gatherings throughout the year to promote team unity and demonstrate appreciation for all volunteers.
  • Assist with youth Worship Team
  Special Services
  • Assist Pastor/Ministry Leader in planning, and implementing, special events (i.e., funerals, weddings, worship nights, prayer nights, etc.) outside of Sunday worship services when available.
Work Schedule:
  • Chair worship meetings
  • Attend staff meetings
  • Lead mid-week rehearsal

Youth Pastor/Director
Job Type: Full-time position
Purpose of Job: To discern God’s vision for the youth ministry and implement a strategy to fulfill that vision in cooperation with the Elders.  
Job Qualifications:  
  • Minimum 3 years of ministry experience (preferably with youth) 
  • Strong computer skills  
  • A prayerful, servant leader, team player and encourager 
  • Undergraduate Degree (preferably ministry related)  
  • Willingness to move forward in being licensed or ordained within the Christian & Missionary Alliance 
Description of Duties:  
  • Oversee ministries pertaining to Middle School (6th-8th) and High School (9th-12th): Sunday School, Youth Group, retreats, camps, etc.  
  • Maintain records and registrations for youth groups 
  • Maintain youth events on church calendar 
  • Plan, support, and facilitate all youth programs, activities and events 
  • Partner with parents  
  • Steward the youth ministry budget 
  • Partner with staff ministry leaders to provide a cohesive ministry calendar 
Job Expectations: The Pastor/Director of Youth Ministry is expected to be faithful in fulfilling the duties of his or her position; to adhere to the biblical and organizational standards of personal conduct and spiritual integrity; to maintain confidentiality; to show respect for consumers/members, peers, and superiors, etc. The Pastor/Director of Youth Ministry will contribute in creating a positive and productive working environment; opportunities for continuing education or training; clear and open forms of communication, etc.

Compassion Ministries Associate
Hours:  10-15 hours per week
Wage:  $15/hour
Reports To: Compassion Outreach Director

Position Description
  • The Compassion Ministry Associate must be an independent, self-motivated worker that can “see a need, fill a need” and assist the compassion ministry volunteers and Director with moving, organizing, administrative, and other tasks as needed. Growth potential in ministry admin and oversight if desired.

Description of Duties:
  • Have a vehicle and be able to assist with pick up and drop off of large weekly donations as needed.
  • Stock/restock donation bags as needed for Clothe Me Co-Op volunteers.
  • Assist compassion ministry volunteers with moving and lifting of bins, bags, and boxes as needed.
  • Take marked gear, toys, off season bins, etc. to/from the attic or outside pod for storage as needed; and bring in needed items/supplies.
  • Sort & tag incoming shoe donations weekly.
  • Assist with moving, set-up, and tear down of Clothe Me Co-Op distributions and special project events.
  • Attend and help at monthly Clothe Me Co-Op and/or other compassion ministries outreach events.
  • Assist with Clothe Me Co-Op seasonal and special service projects as necessary.
  • Help with organization and administrative duties of compassion ministries as gifting and time allows.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and navigate stairs.
  • Agree to our Statement of Faith and operate by our Code of Conduct.
  • Be self-motivated.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills.
